Helen, Annie and Dr. Alexander Graham Bell at Dr. Bell's summer home in Cape Breton in 1894. The inventor of the telephone suggested that Mr. Keller write to Perkins for a teacher to help Helen. Dr. Bell (or the professor as Annie called him) became a dear friend to Annie and Helen. His admiration for Annie's natural ability as a teacher was of great inspiration to her.
